Tote Bags

Many MGOL programs rely on Tote Bags for storing, distributing and collecting props. I was looking for a tote bag that was wide enough for children to find it easy to drop their scarves and bells inside, but shallow enough so it would be easy to reach in to distribute them.

Since I couldn’t find anything to fit the bill, I contracted a company to make them and currently I am the only distributor.

  • Some bags have zippers, but are not guaranteed to last.
MGOL Tote bag with old logo of a white haired Mother Goose flying on her gander, for storing, distributing, and retrieving props
  • Some bags have the old MGOL logo on them.

  • Some bags have the newer MGOL logo on them.

  • In future, I hope to get bags with the Hatchlings logo on them!

CDs

Often, after my workshops, attendees would ask if there was anywhere they could get recordings of the songs I used. Back then, CDs were popular, so I hired Rahel, joined her at Betsy’s Folly Studio in New Hampshire, and recorded some CDs. Rahel had written permission from Barbara to record and distribute her songs plus she was just the musician I wanted – with a great voice and wonderful guitar playing, but not over-the-top. When Rahel sings, everyone wants to sing along.

While working on the Spanish version of Mother Goose on the Loose, I on a plane and began talking with a young man sitting next to me. His name was Evelio Mendez and he was a opera student from Puerto Rico on his way to a summer program sponsored by the Metropolitan Opera.  I asked for his help in modifying the words to the Spanish songs so that they fit with the beat, and so we were singing quietly together for quite awhile.

I finally paid attention to the quality of his singing and realized he had a magnificent voice! AHA!!!  I asked if he would be willing to record the Spanish songs and he agreed. So, a month later, he came to New Hampshire and sang the songs in Spanish following Rachel’s English version. Escucha y disfruta con Mama Gansa was born.  To this day, my favorite song is Evelio singing the “Itsy Bitsy Spider” in his regular voice, and “The Great Big Spider” in his opera voice.

Now that we have streaming music services, people are not purchasing many CDs. I have some CDs left and can sell them at a reduced price. Please contact me directly if you are interested in purchasing any of these. Otherwise, feel free to click on the links below, which will take you other sellers on Amazon and streaming services too.
