In January of 2015, the first MGOL Newsletter was sent out. Since then, the newsletter is published online once a month or once every other month. It is a combination of my personal stories, relevant research for children’s librarians and early childhood professionals with phrases or sentences that can be used as developmental tips for parents highlighted. It also has lists and links to resources, comments from readers, news and ideas, a rhyme of the month, a developmental tip of the month, and other eclectic selections.

Feel free to browse through my website; there are lots of resources there. You may also want to check our ALSC (Association for Library Services to Children). They have a listserv where librarians ask each other questions and it is full of good information. PubYac is another listserve (affiliated with the Public Library Association) that has great info. There was a Facebook group called “Storytime Underground” which is no longer active, but all of their conversations are archived. This, too, is rich with storytime materials. Plus, there are tons of books about storytimes (mine included) which give outlines for storytime according to ages, themes etc. Librarians are always happy to share information and that is what makes it such a great profession!
